Formthotics & Insoles

Formthotics® are custom-contoured insoles made from Formax™, a heat-mouldable, closed-cell polyethylene foam. They are designed to support the alignment of your feet, improve the movement of your lower limbs and stimulate the body’s own sensory feedback, helping to relieve pain, reduce the risk of injury and improve comfort by correcting foot mechanics.
By relieving pressure and improving positioning, they can help with conditions such as forefoot pain (metatarsalgia), heel pain (plantar fasciitis and heel spurs), ankle and shin pain, knee pain syndromes and flat feet, while also supporting pelvic alignment and reducing stress on the legs. Ready-fit insoles are also available.

What to expect
Step 1, consultation. Your therapist assesses your lower limbs and prescribes the right Formthotics for your needs and activities.
Step 2, fitting (one week later). After you have worn the insoles for a week so they can mould to your feet, we assess your gait. Your therapist then shapes the Formthotics to your shoes and makes any adjustments needed. Most fittings are completed at this visit, so you leave with your custom Formthotics.
Step 3, free 30-minute follow-up. A complimentary follow-up 12 weeks later makes sure your Formthotics are working properly and allows any final adjustments.
